Tried the shoyu ramen and gyoza and I enjoyed every bite! Prices are reasonable, place is clean, washrooms are clean. If you’re looking for a good ramen place, this is definitely one of them :)

Fantastic Japanese ramen! Burnaby's got game! Traditional taste at an affordable price. The broth is flavorful but not heavy. I had the rich shoyu broth with pork belly chasu, you have the choice of lean or belly cuts of pork. The ramen was very satisfying. UPDATE: Shio (salt) is light and flavourful. It comes with half a soft boiled marinated egg. In terms of authentic Japanese ramen I would rank raijin highest in Burnaby because of their tsukemen, however, hakkaku has superior hot broth ramen followed by yaguchiya This is my personal opinion, you may have a different opinion following your own experiences. Taking into consideration the cost of ramen, hakkaku is the clear winner.UPDATE : The Chashu burger with pork belly is amazingly delicious. Strong taste of green onion.spper delicious. The bao is superior to the burgers at Bao Down.

Tasty with good portions.

One of the best ramen places around here. I heard that the owner here started it after working at Motomachi in downtown which is also very good.Delicious ramen made by Japanese so there's no weird vegetable choices, as we have received at some places. Very reasonably priced, in fact a little cheaper than most and portion sizes are healthy. For a dollar more, you can add more noodles and they have lots of options to add small things if you like. One of the few places that also gives you the option of broth richness and amount of fat in the pork.

Great value for a bowl of noodle soup. Love the Broth for their ramen. And great service.

Amazing Raman. You get to choose between rich or regular for the soup, and shoulder or belly for the meat. Also has chashaba burger (forgot the spelling), which is tasty. Service is great too!!

Good ramen is a hard find outside of the downtown core; however, Hakkaku is probably the best options in the area. Mix that together with their lunch special.... you get a great, big bowl of Ramen for <$10.Types of Ramen are limited to Shio, Miso and Shoyu, but of these you're getting a quality that won't disappoint you.Closed on Mondays (UNFORTUNATELY), but if you make the mistake of coming there's Pho next door.

This place never disappoints. They have good dishes for convenient prices, there no long wait even when the spot is loaded.

Tasteful ramen and very good service. It would be nice if had a few more ramen options on the menu.

Good ramen, especially for the price. Lunch special is $8... And is very filling! Noodles are textured well with a good bounce and chewy feel. (Not rubbery, but chews well). Soup is rich, and selection of fatty or lean makes a huge difference here. Otherwise service is quick and responsive with casual but those ghtful interactions. Will come again!Bonus, they have a TV showing the world cup games right now

Great spot for ramen in north Burnaby. Ordered their spicy red miso and was very happy with the broth - salty and a little sweet with clean chili flavour and plenty of umami. Extra bonus points for the torched chashu slices for that extra deliciousness! The noodles offered here by comparison are your standard wavy ramen noodles; springy with good texture (as ramen noodles should be) and they did their job as a good accompaniment to the broth.

Ramen specialists 🜠you won’t find much else on the menu except ramen and gyoza and that’s because they focus on making the best ramen. Delicious soup base (choose between normal and rich) and yummy toppings. Had the spicy ramen which had a great balance of heat and wasn’t too spicy.

I love love love their spicy ramen here! First, it’s a pretty affordable spot for ramen in comparison to other spots in the city. It’s also got a lot of variety and choice when it come to richness and fat of the pork. The service is pretty good and efficient.
